Welcome to the NeuEar project!

Sixteen percent of adult Europeans suffer from hearing loss, great enough to adversely affect their daily life. A large portion of this population is affected by sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL).   listening
NeuEar partners based in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Austria and UK are working together to develop a new type of cochlear implant capable of supporting the regeneration of the auditory neurons. This highly innovative project is led by the Danish company NsGene A/S and is funded as part of the 7th Framework programme of the European Commission.
